Los orcos de Morannon llevan pesadas armaduras de hierro negro y suelen ser la punta de lanza de los ataques lanzados por el Señor Oscuro Sauron. Se sabe que participaron en las mas importantes batallas de la Guerra del Anillo, como la conquista de Osgiliath, el asedio de Cair Andros, la batalla de los Campos de Pelennor y la batalla de la Puerta Negra. Tambien se sabe que se les instruia en tareas mas diversas que a los orcos regulares, tales como la construccion de maquinas de asedio y botes.

It is also known that this orcs were trained in more tasks than the regular orcs, such as the building of siege machines and boats.
